Our client is a well-established general contractor specializing in commercial construction projects across Calgary and the surrounding area. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of commercial construction projects, while also supporting selected multi-family residential developments.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities

Manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout
Coordinate project planning including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration
Work closely with site superintendents to ensure construction activities align with project schedules and budgets
Manage subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, and contract negotiations
Review drawings and specifications to identify potential issues and coordinate solutions with consultants
Monitor project costs, change orders, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams
Support project delivery across a range of commercial developments as well as select multifamily residential projects

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
Experience delivering commercial construction projects, with exposure to multi-family residential projects considered an asset
Strong understanding of construction drawings, contracts, scheduling, and budgeting
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate project teams
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
